Snapshots: Happy Holidays 2015

It's hard to believe the holidays have come and gone, and the Valentine's stuff is already out at the drug store...I don't know about you, but our apartment has only been Christmas free for like five or six days!

The 2015 holiday season was exciting, stressful, insane, happy, messy and incredibly fast!!!

We had a lot of great moments this year, including a quick trip to Bermuda for Thanksgiving and lots of candy and craft making for Santa.  Below, a few of our favorite memories from the last two months of 2015...

Thanksgiving in Bermuda

While visiting Bermuda may not seem like the most likely choice for an American holiday weekend, it was the most special family weekend we have shared in a while.  David's and my eighth trip to our most favorite island may have been the best yet because it was our son's first trip.  Watching David John fall in love with the island that has played a major roll in our eleven year romance--including hosting our beachside wedding--filled our hearts with so much happiness.

Christmas!!

Our annual attempt at a family selfie on Christmas Eve (see last year's here) & an impromptu visit to Rockafeller Center.

Waaaay too much candy making:

pecan brittle, peanut butter chocolate trees, & home made goo-goo clusters to name a few. (recipes coming soon)

We crafted until we nearly glued our fingers together, and then we made homemade crayons for our friends.

A family trip to Linclon Center to see The Nutcracker.

THE BIG DAY!!!!

New Years in the South

After a big, crazy City Christmas, there's nothing like slowing down a bit and spending some time with the ones you love most.  We rang in the New Year with family, A LOT of football and the salty breeze of the Gulf of Mexico. It was the perfect end to 2015 and a happy start to 2016.  Above, my little beach bum on New Year's Eve.
