{Thank goodness it's Saturday...}

It has been more than five weeks since I have shared a quiet weekend at home with my family.  We have been on the road, hosting visitors, celebrating birthdays, etcetera etcetera etcetera, every week since sometime in early September.  I get exhausted just thinking about it!  So, as you can imagine, today's quiet start to the weekend feels like a reward, and it's the perfect time for a little reading, relaxing and--most of all--catch up!  Below, a few items of inspiration from the past week...

{I've been inspired by...}

My grandmother's jewelry.  She was such a special lady and she loved a good accessory!  I keep a few pieces from her jewelry box on my desk and I always seem to find inspiration when I look at them.

Little things like these tiny rose gold friendship bracelets.  I recently made these for my girlfriends but I think they would make great bridesmaid gifts, too.

{Weekend reading...}

It is surreal to see the cottage we rented this past summer featured in the November issue of Coastal Living Magazine.  Makes me miss those long August days in East Hampton

{This week I learned...}

How to clean my rubber rain boots.  This was a super exciting discovery because I hate it when they start turning chalky and white.  (That white stuff is called "bloom" by the way...)

All you need is a dab of olive oil or ArmorAll to bring your rain boots back to life.  It is seriously that easy!

{I'm shopping for...}

A hard gold belt to add a modern edge to my winter dresses, and a long line cardigan to keep me warm on windy New York City days...

I like these from ASOS...{here} and {here}

{And a couple of links I love...}
